How To Join eduID.ng as an Identity Provider (IdP)
For education and research institutions to securely and reliably access and share resources over the NREN and other data networks in Nigeria and globally, the Nigerian Identity Federation, eduID.ng has been established.
An institution can apply to join eduID.ng as an Identity Provider (IdP). The eduID.ng membership is open only to research and education institutions that are accredited or approved by the following: National Universities Commission (NUC), National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), National Commission of Colleges of Education (NCCE) and Nigerian (Federal) Research Institutions. Organisations external to the Nigerian Research and education community can apply to participate in the federation as an affiliate member or Service Provider.
An education or research institution can apply for membership of eduID.ng as an IdP and must commit to being bound by Nigeria Federation Policy and the various addenda by downloading this [FORM] and sending the signed PDF version of the completed form to support@eduid.ng
Access to resources federated through eduID.ng is governed by the Nigerian Federation Policy. Metadata registration is governed by eduID.ng Metadata Practice Statement.
