About SP Membership
For education and research institutions to securely and reliably access and share resources over the NREN and data networks in Nigeria and globally, the Nigerian Identity Federation, eduID.ng has been established.
An institution can apply to join eduID.ng as a Service Provider (SP). The eduID.ng membership is open only to research and education institutions that are accredited or approved by the following:
- National Universities Commission (NUC)
- National Board for Technical Education (NBTE)
- National Commission of Colleges of Education (NCCE)
- Nigerian (Federal) Research Institutions
Organisations external to the Nigerian R&E community can apply to participate in the federation as an affiliate member or Service Provider. Contact the Eko-Konnect Secretariat for details.
Organisations that do not fall into the membership criteria described above but wish to join eduID.ng as a SP can join through a different application process under non-member terms.
How It Works
An education or research institution that is subscribed to eduID.ng and wishes to share resources as a Service Provider can apply for membership and must commit to being bound by Nigeria Federation Policy and the various addenda.
Complete the Registration Form
Download and complete the eduID Federation Registration Form with your institutional and service details.
Institutional Approval
Have the application approved and signed by your institutional authority.
Onboarding & Configuration
The Eko-Konnect team will guide you through SP setup and federation onboarding.
